Strawberry Picking and More!

We got the opportunity to visit our family again and we were able to go to their high school concert, and the following day we spent with Sue and she took us to a Strawberry field were we shot strawberries out of a cannon! It was amazing how far they could go!

These goats were apparently "climbing" goats and they really liked people who gave them food!

They had baby pig races!

I've only ever seen pig races at the Del Mar Fair in California, but this one was way more awesome because we were able to be so much closer to the excitement.

Then we went strawberry picking! I have never been strawberry picking and let me tell you...this was one of the best experiences ever! Picking strawberries fresh from the plant and eating them when they are kind of warm was just such a wonderful experience!

Only thing I would have done differently is pick MORE!

Blue Angels Air Show

Our next door neighbor told us about an air show that was happening about an hour away from us and what sold me on this trip was that the BLUE ANGELS were going to be flying! I have only seen the Blue Angels a handful of times and mostly on TV. We decided to brave the heat and check out this air show!

They had all kinds of planes and helicopters around that we could look inside and even tour inside.

It was so hot that the fire fighters took out one of their hoses and used it to spray the kids down. The guys took turns holding the hoses, but they definitely got their enjoyment from trying to spray the parents standing nearby.

And on the way home it started raining! I don't think I will ever understand this crazy humidity and rain that comes almost everyday!
